In February, at last i got my transfer order from JPM to KBS. It's a dream come true for me. Then i was posted to Bhg. Kewangan dan Pembangunan and until now it has been a challenging and hectic ride for me. Yela jaga pembangunan ni memang banyak dugaan and technicalities so ambik masa gak nak memahami ilmu project management ni. PTD Roadmap pun terpaksa reject 2 kali...hai...BUT i'm satisfied with all my effort during my stint in KBS. Jika ditakdirkan aku kena keluar if exercise 48 dalam masa terdekat ni, aku puas hati, banyak benda aku dah belajar n this experience surely will come handy during the course of my career.

Both my daughter pun dah besar. Adriana Sofea dan 3 tahun setengah while Aisyah Sofea dah 1 year old. Just dalam 10 bulan ni masa aku dengan diaorang tak lama coz kerap outstation.

Apa lagi? ooo aku dah pindah rumah baru before puasa (Ogos 08). Gitu gini dekat 20k jugak habis utk completekan rumah tu. Nasib baik ada duit EPF.hehehehe

Pasal outstation ni aku nak cerita experience aku sikit. First masa aku kena buat roadshow nak buat Gelanggang Rakyat satu Malaysia dlm bulan Julai 08. Aku kena gi Sabah n Sarawak. Mula-mula from KL to Labuan (tidu semalam di Labuan), the next day ke KK, transit jap, naik flight lagi ke Sandakan (tidur semalam di Sandakan). The next day took another flight to KK, transit flew to Kuching (tidur semalam di Kuching). The next day flew to Sibu and the same day balik Kuching then terus naik flight balik KL. Bayangkan letihnya....

Secondly experience aku pergi Besut balik hari. The day before aku kena pergi PD and Melaka for site visit. Then petang tu boss mintak pergi Besut untuk jadi wakil KBS untuk penerimaan bangunan Kompleks Sukan Komunit Besut. Mana sempat nak tempah flight ticket and aku nekad utk drive gak. So the next day, very early in the morning, 5 am aku gerak ke Besut dengan Nissan X-trail (kereta projek), punyala lama journey (aku lalu Cherating-KT) sampai Besut (Kelantan border) dah pukul 12. Attend meeting penerimaan, makan, rest jap, dalam 3.30 pm aku gerak balik KL. Tak ke kerja gila tu? Balik lalu Kuala Berang-Jerangau-Jabur-Karak. Sampai rumah dalam pukul 10. Terus flat esok, masuk office after lunch.....memang kerja gila.

Sejak dok KBS ni pun meja tak pernah clear/bersih. Tiap2 hari surat/kerja bertimbun. Tapi the bright side of it is aku belajar macam2 and very challenging and it is my nature to accept any challenges. After all aku sendiri yang mintak pergi KBS kan...hehehehe

Office environment pun very satisfying, SUB, KPSU, fellow officers, subordinate - semua best and seronok kerja dengan diaorang. Walaupun stress tapi happy. Itu yang penting.

So guys enjoy the pictures. Ciao....(i'm now in Kuantan and off to Kemaman tomorrow)

payjalhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10473489334472339670noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37280270.post-66672705277765771062008-01-18T09:33:00.000+08:002008-01-18T17:32:02.660+08:00The Art of Personal Grooming

Your image speaks loudly about who you are and impacts how you feel about yourself as well as how others perceive you. When you look great, you will feel great about yourself and react positively and confidently. In turn, other people will react positively towards you, creating more successful opportunities in business and social relationships. Your personal image is a powerful communicator and gives you the extra edge when it matters. There is nothing more unfortunate than allowing your image to convey the wrong impression, undermine your capabilities and ruin your chances of success.

In today’s highly competitive global business arena, it takes more than academic accomplishment to attain your professional peak. As business become more internationally and socially oriented, the image you project is increasingly important.. Your appearance, attitude and style are as important as your smile. You can successfully manage and influence other people’s perception of you by projecting the right visual and behavioural style. An effective and polished professional image will make the most of your appearance and social skills, increase your self-confidence and self-esteem and help you out class the competition.

Here are some pointers to get you started:

Dress well

This is the first thing people notice about you. Whether you like it or not, your clothes say a lot about you. What you are wearing speaks about your personality, status, professionalism, dress sense and more. Learn which colours and styles work best for you, and strive to look your best at all times. Learn to create your signature style that reflects your unique qualities, personality and lifestyle.

Eye contacts

This is one of the most important aspects of dealing with others, especially people you have just met. Maintaining good eye contact shows respect and interest in what they have to say. If you don’t look at someone when you are talking to them, you might be perceived as aloof, shy or unfamiliar with what you’re talking about. Even worse, the signal you send says that you are neither listening nor interested. Nothing is more detrimental to your credibility and trustworthiness than your inability to make eye contact.

Smile

A sincere smile will break barriers and draw people to you like a magnet. A warm and friendly smile is one of your most powerful and winning assets. We all want to do business with people we like. If two people have equal skills and qualifications and only one of them is warm and personable, that person has a better chance of landing the position. Letting your personality show through your smile is a winning strategy.

Firm handshake

This communicates self-confidence. Place your hand palm-to-palm with the other person’s, grasp firmly and shake. A soft, limp handshake indicates you are a spineless person, while the killer crush makes people thick you are overly aggressive.

Body language

Communication can occur without any words being spoken. Your body sends signals, sometimes deliberately, sometimes unconsciously. Picture the following movements: a shrug, rolling of the eyes, a frown, massaging the temples and a big yawn. There is a meaning conveyed in each of those gestures. So be aware of the message your body language is sending and make sure it is positive.

Good posture

The way you sit, stand and walk says a lot about your attitude, professionalism and values. No matter how much money you spend beautifying yourself, a hunched, slouched posture destroys the whole effect. Good posture spells confidence. Learn to project yourself positively and confidently in your visual poise and posture.

* Article by Sally Tang, image consultant and principal trainer at Divine Image International.
payjalhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10473489334472339670noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37280270.post-661805177482049052008-01-16T11:50:00.000+08:002008-01-17T18:32:15.888+08:00Back to biking!!!

Yamaha Majesty YP250

If I'm not mistaken, it's been 7 months since i last ride my ever reliable scooter. And during that 7 months period, the forgotten scooter looked really jaded without much care and 'touch' from his master. After the birth of my second child, we decided that both our children will be under the care of my parents in-law so my wife will have to commute daily from Seremban to Bangi and as for me, back to biking of course!! So on the 5th of January 2008, after few attempt of 'jump start' i managed to get the bike roaring again. However, i noticed that there was some problem with the battery.Agghhh. I braved myself to ride all the way to Seremban, with few pit stops of course. One was at Bangi where the battery just suddenly turn dead. It was 8 pm at that time. With the help of a guy from the accessory shop, i managed to jump start the bike and continue my journey. Unlucky for me again, the bike stalled again just after the Nilai interchange and for about 30 minutes i waived for help until one kind, young hamba Allah stopped and towed my bike to the Seremban R&R. Again one 'pakcik' and his 2 boys in a MyVi- very kind of them, let me used their battery to jump start the bike. Ya, we still have a caring society out there. Then i continued my journey (with an escort-the young man) and reached home at about 10 pm. My wife was really worried because i left my phone with her that afternoon. Alhamdulillah, i reached home safely.

On Tuesday, i took a leave just to 'settle' the bike. I went to the Paroi Police Station (report geran hilang), went to Puspakom after that (road tax expired more than a year), go for full service at a newly found and hopefully trusted workshop. There are still a lot to be done with the bike but as long as i can travel safely for the time being, I'll be happy with that. ......
payjalhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10473489334472339670noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37280270.post-88959493055855080022007-12-14T19:12:00.000+08:002008-01-17T15:14:28.657+08:00My babySalam guys,

27 Oktober 2007 was another historic day for me and my family. Semalam Isnin, 8 Oktober 2007, aku menerima satu berita baik...before this baby yang tengah dalam kandungan wife aku berada dalam keadaan songsang. Now dah masuk 38 minggu, so kami agak risau la sebab baby dah besar (3kg) dan susah nak pusing ke bawah. Nampak gaya kena caesar namun Allah S.W.T. Alhamdulillah. Lega rasanya. Insyaallah kalau normal ni, after Raya ni keluarla....

SO TO ALL MUSLIMS OUT THERE,

SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI!!

Drive carefully!!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_ePwbrPCU2O8/Rw2XBRKAWII/AAAAAAAAAEE/5vL__PGKKx8/s400/PA060007.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5119914399431153794" />payjalhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10473489334472339670noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37280270.post-74067109878849305552007-09-09T13:53:00.000+08:002007-10-09T14:14:49.308+08:00Gila bola...9 September. Yela office aku dah block benda-benda yang tak berkenaan kerja ni(betul ke tak berkenaan?). Just nak share pengalaman aku masa jadi LO masa LID 2007 kat Langkawi. I was at Langkawi from 2-9 August 07 and stayed at Perdana Beach Resort just beside the Langkawi Lagoon Resort. Of course almost all of the LOs didn't expect they will be staying at the 'hotel'. Takpelah benda kecik je. Lagipun there was no time for us to enjoy so much, balik dari assignment pun dah tengah malam. Letih bai. Lupalak, i was assigned to be the LO for the Prime Minister of St. Vincent and Grenadines (SGV). He arrived on the 5th of August together with 3 officers (one from Malaysia - cucu Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj, his name is Tunku Muinuddin Putra). The PM is a nice gentleman with his Portugese look and from the his smile and the look of his face you wouldn't believe that he's already in his 60s. His charming personality (especially with ladies) is something to be envy. I was quite impressed with his way of approaching people, opps! woman i mean, he's a living example of a casanova!!!

The PM of SGV is a special invitee of Pak Lah and he flew 26 hours all over from the Carribean(1 night at Taipei) just to fulfil Pak Lah's invitation. What a gentleman. Nevertheless he came with a mission - to promote his country as one of the main tourist destination because they don't have any resources that can be traded (previously it was banana). They also want Malaysia to help them to build an international airport so that SGV can be easily accessible to the world.

8 days in Langkawi, tires and exhausted. Nevertheless again a good experience. Tapi balik2 je ada kontroversi pasal LO. Biaseletu, layan je lah. Adios, appreciate!!!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_ePwbrPCU2O8/RwsdjRKAWHI/AAAAAAAAAD8/-AG5dmi7QMc/s400/DSC00631%5B1%5D.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5119217893174696050" />
Depan Malaysia's official jet, masa ni TPM baru sampai.payjalhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10473489334472339670noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37280270.post-89552896686774587272007-07-19T15:40:00.000+08:002008-01-17T15:18:31.069+08:00QUO VADIS MALAYSIAN FOOTBALLBOLA SEPAK MALAYSIA: KE MANA??

AFMR
Putrajayapayjalhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10473489334472339670noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37280270.post-46546268177789558802007-07-04T13:59:00.000+08:002007-07-05T11:08:14.397+08:00Melancholy and Infinite SadnessDah lama sangat aku tak rasa perasaan sedih macam ni. Sepanjang hidup aku ni boleh kira berapa kali aku berasa down and demoralised macam ni. Tapi kejadian semalam membuat perasaan aku bercampur-campur - marah, geram, frust, sedih, rasa nak tumbuk orang, lemah......tapi pagi ni bila aku dengar lagu ni, aku rasa semangat yang baru. I cannot change the situation, i might as well live with it and adjust mana yang boleh walaupun hati ini berkata tidak dengan permainan catur 'boss' aku tu. Kalau jamming or ada show ke - lagu ni, lagu weezer memang favourite la. Seronok bila kenang2 zaman student dulu, walaupun tak berduit macam bekerja ni tapi i'm happy, enjoy sangat walaupun banyak pengalaman pahit dan manis masa student dulu.

Tonight, Tonight

Time is never time at all
You can never ever leave without leaving a piece of youth
And our lives are forever changed
We will never be the same
The more you change the less you feel

Believe, believe in me, believe
Believe that life can change
That you're not stuck in vain
Were not the same, were different tonight
Tonight, so bright
Tonight

And you know you're never sure
But you're sure you could be right
If you held yourself up to the light
And the embers never fade in your city by the lake
The place where you were born

Believe, believe in me, believe
Believe in the resolute urgency of now
And if you believe there's not a chance tonight
Tonight, so bright
Tonight

Well crucify the insincere tonight
Well make things right, well feel it all tonight
Well find a way to offer up the night tonight
The indescribable moments of your life tonight
The impossible is possible tonight
Believe in me as I believe in you, tonightpayjalhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10473489334472339670noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37280270.post-4284379861572766382007-06-13T11:16:00.000+08:002007-06-14T11:55:15.429+08:00Selamat Pengantin Baru Pak LahHarini hari yang bersejarah gak buat aku. At the start of today's Cabinet Meeting around 10.30am aku telah assigned by Datuk TKSU(Kabinet) untuk ambik gambar Pak Lah potong kek kahwin yang dihadiahkan oleh Dato' Sri JJ. Dengan pengalaman ambik gambar setakat camera digital biasa je, aku dengan selambanya meredah celah-celah minister untuk mengambil shot terbaik la kononnya. Yang nak tergelak tu ada one minister tu cakap 'takpa dia bukan professional photographer'. Geli hati aku tapi at least adala gak merasa that experienced. Amateur photographer ambik gambar Cabinet Minister???? Hahahahahaha. So to Dato' Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and Datin Seri Jeanne Abdullah yang telah selamat diijabkabulkan pada 9 Jun 2007, Selamat Pengantin Baru...payjalhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10473489334472339670noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37280270.post-89689547386671301012007-06-12T11:25:00.000+08:002007-06-12T11:58:21.704+08:00MOVE OR YOU'LL BE REMOVEDJust came back from Labuan last night after 3 taxing and exhausting days. Nevertheless i enjoy every minute of it, why? It's my last assignment as the desk officer of Head of Statutory Body Meeting chaired by KSN. I learned a lot from my 2 and 1/2 years stint in Cabinet Division, getting the perspective of senior government officers (KSUs, DGs, SSs, HODs), how they deal with issues and problems, tackling attacks and accusation during meetings profesionally etc. Now, it's time for me to experienced the life outside of this green dome building, the building that symbolize the Government of Malaysia and of course one of the landmark of Putrajaya. Still a lot to be learned and discovered in this government service, insyaallah i'll do my best in the new place. I've no problem adapting in new environment, i love challenges. Routine is boring, challenges will make you a better man only if you learned something from it.

One the highlights of the meeting yesterday was the MANTRA from Tan Sri Sidek Hassan, the outgoing KSN with the greatest passion to transform the Malaysian Civil Service to the highest level. He WARNED the head of the government departments to move from their comfort zone to improve the government delivery system or he/she will be removed from the post. I'm sure all the government servant knew about his carrot and stick approach and he 'walk the talk' guys!!!He knows that his approach will not make him popular/favourite among the civil servant, but everwilling to sacrifice that for the sake of civil service. SO YOU BETTER MOVE OR YOU WILL BE REMOVED!!payjalhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10473489334472339670noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37280270.post-83378512684302915052007-05-18T17:38:00.000+08:002007-05-28T12:26:44.631+08:00PAC 2007Just wanna share my experience masa jadi facilitator during PAC II and III 2007. Aku dapat PAC II (20 - 22 April)di INTURA dan PAC III (27 - 29 April) di INTIM. Di INTURA, the first night was disastrous. Session malam tu terpaksa postponed to the next day and pack sikit la on Saturday tu pasal nak habiskan semua sesi yang ada. So malam tu dengan geng2 faci termasuklah anak jati Sungai Petani, Tariq Affendi and Khairil Hilmi pi lepak kedai mamak kat Sungai Petani. Sempat la lalu Hospital Sungai Petani tempat aku dilahirkan padahal aku bukan orang Kedah. Biasala anak Polis banyak merantau.....Habis je post morterm malam Sabtu tu terus aku dengan kawan ADO Balik Pulau terus pi Penang jumpa Nazrul jambu di mamak gak. Malam tu tidur rumah Jambu. Nak jadikan cerita pagi tu flight aku pkl 830 am tapi terjaga pukul 7, kelam kabut kau. Fuh....

Di INTIM lebih relax sikit, yela pasal dah experience handling para calon the week before, mudah je la kat sini. First time aku jejak kaki kat INTIM, my first impression , walla!!!class betul environment kat sini dengan angin pantai, deruan ombak...Throughout the PAC relax and seronok je...awek2 yang datang pun boleh tahan....senyum meleret la aku apa lagi....Paling aku tak lupa breakfast kat satu kopitiam kat Kemaman masa nak balik tu....lupa lak nama dia..Hai Peng? macam tu la lebih kurang. Only one word can describe it..HEAVEN....kopi kaw, nasi lemak class, roti bakar world...aahhhhh...

On a serious note, there must be something wrong, somewhere with the MALE nowadays. In both the PAC, only 25% of the candidates are male and i think this situation in the long run will affect the PTD service. Memangla gov target nak 30% ladies dalam decision making level tapi this is far way out. Dahla calon lelaki kurang, lepas tu sorry to say this, quality so so....adala yang bagus tapi tak banyak. Even batch 2/07, 70% female and 30% male. Maybe my opinion doesn't reflect the whole population of PAC candidates tapi from the feedback i've got from the panel and faci...it's sad but true......Nevertheless, i gained a lot of experiences from these PACs and i'm looking forward for next year's PAC. Adios....payjalhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10473489334472339670noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37280270.post-70292674410142315942007-05-08T14:58:00.000+08:002007-05-10T10:43:23.172+08:00Viva Manchester United!!!!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_ePwbrPCU2O8/RkAmJc6GEKI/AAAAAAAAADc/WQFzGjZelGw/s400/picsrv.manutd.com.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5062087924984975522" />

Yes!!!After 3 seasons or 4 years of painful waiting, the English Premier League title is back to Old Trafford. Even at the early part of the season i believe this will be Man Utd year although last week lost AC Milan was quite a bitter one. Nevertheless the team (manager, players, support staff, trainers) gave their best performance after several seasons of mediocre results (not on performance). You will never get bored watching Man Utd games, moreover with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Rooney, the evergreen Giggs and Scholes, United's performance this year can be described as breathtaking, full of heart-stopping moments. Sorry Chelsea and just wait for the FA Cup final this 19th May....i'm hoping for another silverware inside the Old Trafford long list of cups. Hot because of the objection by teachers' unions, associations and even the x teachers on the proposal to include PTD in the state education department set-up.

I'm sure most of us ramai sedara, sahabat baik, rakan taulan and even spouses yang bertugas sebagai guru. And i'm sure banyak cerita jugak pasal pentadbiran JPN yang kita dah dengar sejak azali. Only now baru dapat masuk......

107 post out 518 post, 1/5 lebih kurang. Please la para cikgu, for the sake of the nation especially our children/student and towards better delivery system cubala faham niat Kerajaan....for those PTD who will be posted to JPN/PPD, all the best and good luck. Diplomacy is the best policy. Accept it as a challenge to show those DGs what we are capable of......Ciao!!!
payjalhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10473489334472339670noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37280270.post-72322812709200226612007-03-30T16:28:00.000+08:002007-04-02T09:35:42.578+08:00Memories shall remain II

Amacam, ada gaya EPL tak? Hopefully i can stand the pain until i decided to end my career as a footballer and hang up my boots - maybe sampai 50 tahun ke, who knows. I still believe that one career in sports doesn't end because of their age. Masih boleh jadi master athlete. What an achievement bearing the fact that they were paired up only in October 2006. Special praise for coach Rexy Mainaky (Masa DPA ustaz saleh jemput dia untuk kelas badminton) as he is the man behind the success of this duo. I remembered during the Asian Games in which he cried FOR MALAYSIA and resigned from the national team after we lost at the semi-final stage during the team event. Nevertheless he came back and continued his task. Rexy is truly an example of a true professional. It seems like he is an Indonesian with a Malaysian heart. We as Malaysian should not let the duo fall off the track and do not praise them too much as it will distract them. Sorry to mention it here but Hafiz Hashim is a real life example of a champion that being pampered too much and now losing his concentration on the game. Let us hail the latest badminton sensation and i'm sure they will only get better......payjalhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10473489334472339670noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37280270.post-56418114618488324682007-03-03T12:10:00.000+08:002007-03-22T14:24:58.187+08:00Missing?90 days. That's how long i've been 'missing' from my blog. A couple of contributing factors such as the earthquake in Taiwan that damaged several undersea cables, distrupting telecommunication and internet service in various part in Asia(this is the major one), PTK examination (20-21 December) - fuhh bengkak mata study beb, year end and new year holiday period, lots of workload during the first two weeks of the year...i think that's all. Many important ocassions and happenings occured during these period of time.

The 15th Asian Games in Doha which our Malaysian Tigers got 8 gold , 17 silver and 17 silver bronze medals. For me personally, it's a good achievement bearing the facts that Sazali Samad (unlucky - biased judging-biasala subjective sport) and Josiah Ng unable to contribute any gold medal although they were among our highest prospect. If not we would achieved the double digit target set by Chef De-Mission, Dato' A. Sani Karim.

Another thing, did you all realised that the Taiwan's Sports Minister offer to resign over the poor performance of the Taiwanese contingent at the Asian Games? But the Premier asked him to stay on.(please refer my previous posting on these). That's accountability.

Banjir di selatan tanahair. Kita baca di akhbar setiap hari for the last 2 months. First wave and then second wave.......semoga semua yang terlibat akan tabah menghadapi dugaan dan cabaran. Dulu masa aku duduk di Pulapol, KL during 88 to 95 period, everytime hujan luar biasa lebat, rumah tepi Sungai Bunus, mesti banjir paras pinggang...aduh....letih mengangkat barang2, nasib baik rumah dua tingkat....habis banjir je, macam2 ada...belut, ikan bandaraya....banyak kali la jugak merasa pengalaman banjir ni..nasib baik duduk kem...adala abang2 polis yang tolong...

Another thing - our national football team were unlucky to lose out on penalties to the Singapore team at the semi final stage of the AFF Championship. They played well i think but what is Cikgu Jan thinking of when he decided to put Khyril Muhaimeen as the last kicker. It's a big gamble and such a burden for the young boy to take a penalty kick that decide the outcome of the game.uhhhh. Gerammmnye aku. Penalti tu slow, keeper Singapore Lionel Lewis siap boleh dive dan save bola tu cantik je....ahhh malas la nak cerita pasal ni. Dahla tu Singapore menang pulak final AFF lawan Thailand (aggregate 3-2) dengan dibantu penalti kontroversi masa first leg.

Aaaa...Sunday, 28 Jan 07 was a memorable day for me. Why? I learned to play golf. Not play actually..just learning about the right swing techique. I went to the Cyberjaya Community Club and they've got free golf lesson dan free session. Ni dah start gian nak main ni. Gantung but? Nah...Till the next update see ya....payjalhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10473489334472339670noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37280270.post-1164945113039058582006-12-01T09:17:00.000+08:002006-12-18T15:43:22.173+08:00My little rascal
This is my sweetheart Adriana Sofea. Comel tak? She was born in Kajang Plaza Medical Center on 14th of May 2005 at 11.37 am, just two weeks before DPA. Sekejap je aku nak bermanja dengan anak dah kena pergi DPA. Kesian jugak my wife time tu, dahla dia baru deliver, tengah pantang then without much support from me yang kadang-kadang seminggu sekali je baru muncul (time DPA). Orang perempuan ni lepas pantang memang kena jaga dia, kalau tidak kena post natal blues (meroyan) haru dibuatnya. I appreciate her patience and will power to go through what i can describe as the most challenging period of her early motherhood. Budak 'gombrot' sorang ni memang lasak, happy dan tinggi budaknya. Bayangkan umur baru 1 tahun 7 bulan dan pakai baju 3 tahun. Duduk dengan nenek and boleh dikatakan fast learner jugak sebab dah pandai kira 1 to 10 (english you), abc (sampai e je). Makan masyaallah banyak, semua dibelasah, lepas tu taknak orang suap, so nasi atas lantai lagi banyak dari yang masuk mulut....hai.....my prayer for her...moga dia akan jadi insan yang berguna dan berjasa kepada negara, aku taknak dia jadi ulat buku, tapi all-rounder. Dia mesti bijak, petah, berpersonaliti, beradab, athletic, cantik, berwawasan, berani.... as i said all-rounder. For me she is really the 'example' that the rest of Malaysian athletes should emulate. That perseverance, pure hard work, the right and never-say-die attitude and the desire to excel is really the 'right' ingredients in achieving sporting greatness. Together with immense support from her sport minded parents and national squash association I believe she'll be able to put her name in The Hall of Fame of World Squash in a few years time. We Malaysians are proud of you!!!

Now let's go to Fabio Cannavaro who was named European Footballer of The Year on Monday. The World Cup winner who is now with Real Madrid played a very important part in the Azzurri's success in July. But on thing that I liked most about him is his professionalism and his simple regime in keeping himself fit. The secret? Eating well, getting plenty of sleep and having SEX!!! No wonder most of the old timer Italian defenders like Franco Baresi and Paolo Maldini can still play till their late 30's. He's 33 now and in believe he'll remain as a world class player for another 4 or 5 seasons.

These two sporting personalities proved that with hard work, the right attitude AND HAVING SEX one can achieve excellence and glory in their respective field.....
payjalhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10473489334472339670noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37280270.post-1163756141858727592006-11-17T16:56:00.000+08:002006-11-21T08:47:36.823+08:00NOW THAT IS ACCOUNTABILITY!Taken from Sports page NST, Friday, November 17 2006

TAIPEI:Taiwan's sports minister vowed yesterday to resign if Taiwanese athletes fail to snag at least 15 gold medal at the Asian Games next month in Doha. Chen Chuan-chou made the pledge to Premier Su Tseng-chang.
"I told Premier Su during the cabinet meeting that we should able to obtain 15 gold medal in the coming Asian Games," Chen, head of the cabinet-level National Council on Physical Fitness and Sports said.
"And I told him that I would like to step down if we fail to reach the target," he said.
Taiwan's national sport is baseball, but it is also competitive in soft tennis, archery, snooker, bowling, taekwondo and gymnastics. The island nation managed to win just 10 gold at the 2002 Busan Asian Games, compared to 19 in 1998. Taiwan will send 391 athletes to Doha in order to reach the 15 gold medal target.

I wonder if Datuk Azalina will do the same if our contingent to Doha fail to meet the 9 gold medal target set by the NSC. But i rather ask Datuk Ibrahim Saad to resign first because the 'hanky-panky' in the management of FAM have become from bad to worse.

For the Asian Games, Malaysia will send 231 athletes in order to reach the 9 gold medal target. It seems that Malaysia will have to send 391 athletes to get 15 gold medal like Taiwan...just a simple calculation...

For the record, Malaysia's best result for the Asian Games was in 1966 where we won 7 gold medal while in Busan 2002 we won only 6 gold medal.

1966 - 7 gold medal
2006 - 9 gold medal?

Why do we need 40 years to improve our medal haul?
